Ever Green 26 – 29 Police Kifaru

Police Metro 48 – 36 Arrows

It was a big upset of the day when Police Kifaru surprised everyone by beating title contenders Ever Green 29 – 26. Ever Green lacked composure as this was evident before the start of the game with almost half of the team not around and Kifaru capitalized on that ending the first half of the game leading 12 – 11.

The second half however started on a strong for Ever Green, who lead the game by 2 points mid way in the second half but Kifaru kept their nerve and took the day claiming all 2 points. This win pushed Kifaru a position above Ever Green to 4th on the log.

Police Metro recovered from last weekend’s loss to beat Arrows 48 – 36 in a game that heated up beyond boiling point. The game started well with both teams finding breaking through each other’s defenses but eventually Arrows surrendered early mid first half with Metro leading by 6 points at the end of first half. Second half started rather strongly with both teams getting more physical that called for the referees to caution some players out of which 2 of the Arrows’ players were red carded.

Metro took the day with 2 points and moving up to 3rd position while the defeat for Arrows kept them bottom of the table.

The league resumes next weekend at Kyambogo University grounds with various fixtures on card.
