After only playing two matches apiece, there have been so many shockers in the ongoing National Women’s 50-Over League tournament.

Tornado being bottom of the five-team log with just a single point is arguably the biggest of all. No one expected the proceedings to be in such a manner.

The Concy Aweko-led suffered another successive blow, a 33-run loss to Wanderers last Saturday following a bruising 21-run defeat to JACC youngsters.

But Tornado have a chance to revive their fortunes when they face off with titleholders Charity Trust Fund at the university oval in Kyambogo on Saturday.

“It has been tough for us in the past games,” Tornado player Sherry Kutaaka said. “I believe we can do better this time round.”

While Tornado seek a healing, leaders Wanderers (12) will pursue a distant win when they travel to face JACC at Jinja SS oval.

JACC’s batter Damalie Busingye leads the chart with 71 runs from two innings and she will be one Wanderers will need to contain if they are to maintain their unbeaten run.

Wanderers have not only been lucky in many aspects but have also shown some organisation from the dressing room to the oval, something that many other sides are yet to have. No wonder a difference in the results.
