Boks 10 -64 MTN Heathens
The MTN Heathens were in scintillating form as they demolished Boks, a Dmark Kobs understudy team by a flattering 64-10 score line in the 2013 Uganda Cup fixture played at the Legends Rugby grounds on Friday evening.
Arthur Mukama opened the scoring galore with a flying effort as early as the 3rd minute of the game with the first of his hat trick of tries on the evening.
Allan Okello scored a brace before tries from Michael Wokorach, Allan Otim, Jasper Ochen, and Rollan Bahendeka sealed Bok’s fate.
Bok’s consolational try was purely a great manifestation of individual brilliance as Al haji Manano muscled his way through the Heathens’ backline to touch down in brilliant fashion. The try excited almost the entire partisan crowd at the Legends.
The resultant conversion was scored by ivan Kasajja, who also converted a late penalty to give the score-line result an appealing outlook.
The Heathens, who led the first half 38-00, however missed the services of their inspirational play-maker, Onen Bishop, who is nursing a simple fractured arm. They have now scored 166 points in just the opening two fixtures of the 2013 Uganda cup having openly the assault on Mbale Elephants with a 102 victory a week back.
Week 2 of the Rugby Uganda Cup continues with different matches across the different stadiainn the country. In Entebbe, the home team, Sadolin Mongers host the Gulu Elephants, while Mbale town will be treated to another Rugby festival as the Mbale Elephants play host to Kampala based Mutoni Warriors.
