One of the low scoring games of this season involving big teams was the first round match-up between UCU Canons and KIU Titans. The university rivals combined for 98 points but Canons finished victorious with a 52-46 edge out of their opponents.

Rivalry will be renewed when KIU host UCU on Sunday afternoon at Kasanga. Titans (10-5) come into the game with reams of confidence after seeing off another university rival Ndejje in their last game.

Seated at the top of the log, Canons (14-2) haven’t dropped a game in the second round and scored atleast 63 points in every second round game something that should worry perhaps the league’s best defense in KIU.

Proline Heaters are running out of time to begin a push for survival. Heaters (2-13) will try to ignite the push when they face Charging Rhinos at YMCA. Rhinos (5-12) meanwhile are in hunt for a playoff place that is no longer certain after Vegetarian’s win over Falcons last Sunday and Nkumba’s win over Warriors earlier.

Warriors will seek to bounce back from Friday’s loss to Dmark Power when they face Vegetarian. In search for a playoff place Vegetarian (4-12) shocked Falcons in their last game. Warriors have already fallen to a lower side – Nkumba Marines and dropped 3 of 5 in the second round. Nkumba marines who are also in the push for a playoff place will be up against Ndejje Angels.

In the women’s division Magic Stormers will play Nabisunsa and UCU Lady Canons will face KIU Rangers.
