MUK Sparks Vs UCU Lady Canons 6:30pm
Falcons Vs Ndejje Angels 8:30pm
Falcons have failed to put together more than two straight wins this season. Of the playoff bound teams (Charging Rhinos inclusive), only Falcons (9-8) have failed to win atleast three consecutive games – so far, something many have made fun of.
The jinx may be broken when the face Ndejje University Angels this evening at YMCA to follow back-to-back wins against City Oilers and Charging Rhinos over the weekend at the same venue.
The Falcons are trying to build some momentum heading into the playoffs in final weeks of the regular season and have looked spirited and buoyed up in the past couple of games. Stellar plays from the top players will see Falcons through the game.
Ndejje also look to win a third straight game. Geoffrey Soro and Brian Odur – who has defined Ndejje’s season – will try to make things happen offensively for Angels (11-5). The chance to improve their record to 12-5 and equal fourth placed Oilers may be motivation enough for Ndejje.
Falcons edged the first leg of the fixture 63-60 back in April. Peter Elungat and Steven Omony led the record champions in that game while Geoffrey Soro and Brian Sentongo paced Angels. Ndejje is the only side above Falcons on the log that they have not lost to.
One thing these teams have in common is the inability to go about the waning minutes both offensively and defensively against matches. May be the game will come to who takes better care of possession when the minutes are expiring.
In the women’s division undefeated UCU Lady Canons play MUK Sparks. Sparks have been victims of one of the three UCU’s centuries this season.
