One of the five losses City Oilers have registered this season came against KIU Titans in the low scoring first round match up. Francis Kasekende scored 22 points on that night as KIU edged City Oilers 48-47.
When the Oilers and Titans faceoff this evening at the MTN Arena in Lugogo, it will the league’s second best offense against the second best defense.
City Oilers are averaging 72 points per game only behind Dmark Power’s 79. KIU Titans meanwhile are letting in an average of 54.1 points only worse than UCU Canons’ 53.6 points.
Apart from UCU Canons that has beaten City Oilers twice, the team has not lost or won twice against matches they have faced over the two legs.
Oilers (13-5) lost just one of the last five games. Titans (11-6) have lost two of the last five.
In the early tip-off Charging Rhinos will seek to edge close sealing their play off place as the eighth seed with a win against Nkumba Marines.
Rhinos (6-11) beat Nkumba 58-52 in the first round for their first win of the season and have gone on to beat every team below them on the log.
