UCU Lady Canons Vs KCCA Leopards 6:30pm
Riham Warriors Vs Falcons 8:30pm
Last year’s finalists, Falcons are sitting seventh on the twelve team log. In fact even winning or losing the remaining three games can’t take Falcons above sixth or below their current position at the end of the regular season.
The first of the three games is on tonight at YMCA when they face Riham Warriors as they try to build momentum heading into the playoffs.
Falcons were hamstrung in their ability to compete at the perimeter due to the absence Geoffrey Omondi. With the point guard returning in Falcons’ last (against Nkumba), the burden on the tired legs (and hands) of Abdullahi Ramadhani and Sam Obol who still trying to get in the shape will be spread.
Warriors meanwhile are coming off a 113-63 beat down on Heaters and have won four successive games to sit behind UCU Canons at the summit. The defending champions are looking to finish as high as possible but will probably end up in third and if Falcons finish sixth this match up could a preview of the first round playoff. Falcons have won two of the last four.
In the women’s division, UCU Lady Canons may complete the regular season sweep of their rivals, KCCA Leopards. Leopards are the only side to have slowed Lady Canons’ offense and limited them to less than 62 points this season much as the unbeaten university side found a way to win that game.
