Bosco Acidri Martin, husband to former World steeple chase champion, Dorcus Inzikuru’s passed on Monday (21st October 2013) at Arua Referal Hospital.
“Yes, as the Uganda Athletics Federation, we learnt of Acidri’s untimely death and we extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family of the bereaved”, Timothy Masaba confirmed to Kawowo Sports in a telephone interview.
Acidri has been an accountant at Adumi health centre. He was admitted last Thursday when vomiting blood. A family member, Ronald Candia that Kawowo Sports managed to reach indicated that the postmortem report indicated anemia, liver failure, hepatitis B and portal hyper tension as the cause of his death.
“Burial will be on Wednesday in Adibo Village, Addra Parish in Madi Offaka”, Candia confirmed. Dorcus Inzikuru, who has had a troublesome marriage with Acidri is likely to miss the burial as she is away in Kapchorwa training.
“We are sure Inzikuru will make it on time for the burial as she is away in Kapchorwa hills training”, Masaba says.
Efforts to reach Inzikuru have been futile as her known mobile number is off. Inzikuru and Husband, Acidri have been having a stormy and rocky marriage with the temperamental athlete accusing her better half, from who they have a child of unfaithfulness.
