Coming off a fifth round knockout victory over Tanzania’s Abudullah Muhammed in march, earlier this year, 32 year old boxer Solomon Bogere can not wait to lock horns with Malawian opponent Osgood Kayuni due November 16th at the Lugogo MTN Arena.

“Once I go to the ring, I must come back with victory,”Bogere told Kawowo Sports. “Am going to battle for these African Belts because they are always on my mind,”he added.

According to former UPBC Chief and fights supervisor Celestino Mindra, a referee who deals with professional fights based on WBC rules will take charge of the fights alongside neutral officials who will make sure the ring activities are properly managed.

Current East and Central Africa Super lightweight champion Bogere and Malawi’s Kayuni will battle for the vacant Africa Super light weight title, and victory for Bogere will gift him a chance to feature on the international stage under the organisation, Champion Boxing Management in USA. Uganda Sports Promotion in conjunction with Jukbox Production have organised the fight.

Osgood Kayuni holds a good record of one loss and one draw in his last 16 professional fights while Solomon has won 11 bouts, drawn twice and lost only one.

The following under-card fights will entertain fans before the main bout.

Dragon Kidega Vs Swedish based Waibale ‘Bullet’ Akim (Super Light weight)

Shabila Namagga Vs US based Loeffler Katherina (4 Round lady’s junior contest)

Mudde Ntambi Vs Remmy Iga (Bantam Weight)

Martin Mubiru Vs Joseph Kiny (Super Bantam Weight)

Fred Kagoda Vs Charles Muvunyi (Light Weight)
