Men Serie A Semi-finals: Game 2

It is now official, defending Volleyball league champions (men) Nemostars and KAVC will play in the 2013 play-off finals.
The development follows the two club’s successful progression in the game two series of the semi final play-offs played at the MTN Indoor Stadium, Lugogo on Wednesday.
Nemostars once again proved the better side in the opening fixture that took 1 and a half hours. George Aporu, Loius Mubangizi attacked with vigour as setter Smith Okumu provided assists off the fore court.
Coach Anthony Ndawula’s troops have now booked a second successive final after last year’s historic triumph. They won the opening 2 sets 25-12 and 25-25 before Nkumba University rallied back to grab set three, 23-25.
The fourth set seemed to be the most important for theor2 sides, Nkumba wishing to level up matters, but it was Nemostars who made it count with a 25-19 victory in 24 minutes.
The second contest was more exciting and as well as more grueling than the first. It took one complete hour and 47 minutes for the entire duration of the game .
KAVC won the series 3-2 following Sport-S’ wonder fighting mentality. It was the the towering veteran attacker, Pierre Kamugasha’s winning shot that saw the record champions progress with a 15-10 in the decider.
The ladies’ games will be played on Saturday at Lugogo. Ndejje Elites and Nkumba University lead the series. Ladies’ defending champions, Ndejje Elites, humiliated KCCA 3-0 in the first game played at MUBS (25-20, 25-18, and 25-19) while Nkumba University leads KAVC by 3-1. The latter contest ended 19-25, 25-10, 25-28 and 25-19.
