The Annual Run for Hope 10 km running race and 5 km walking race for the year 2013 is set to get underway on 17th November with a 10 Kilometre event that will start at Kololo Air Strip in Kampala.

The race is organised by Hope ward and proceeds from it will faciliate Allan Ssempagala, a 13 year old Fistula patient who is set to under go his fourth surgery.

“Hope Ward has been providing complex treatment for those that are unable to afford at IHK through IMF since 2006. For this year’s run , MTN Uganda pledged support for the 10 km and 5 km races”, Brenda Naluyima, the event publicist tells Kawowo Sports.

“Registration is on at all International Medical Centres in Uganda and at the International Hospital Kampala”, Naluyima adds.

Close to 500 participants are expected in this race whose proceeds will go towards Allan Sempagala, 13 year old fistula patient’s 4th surgery.

Individual registration for the event is at Ug Shs 15,000 while the corporates will part with Ug Shs.350,000. A team of corporates shall not exceed more than 30 members.
