Mutoni Warriors 6 MTN Heathens 60
MTN Heathens seem to be easily sailing through to another Nile Special Super 8 Rugby League Cup unless they encounter tougher teams.
Week four action turned sour again for their opponents Mutoni Warriors whom they run over Legends grounds. With immense composure, Heathens immediately took the lead courtesy of Lawrence Sebuliba’s try that ensured the the team’s dominance through both halves.
Heathen’s wing Allan Okello was arguably at his best so far this season putting up an unmatched score with two good penalty kicks, a try and three conversions. Heathen’s Prop Asuman Mugerwa who was later crowned Nile Special man of the match barely disappointed, making three tries alongside Paul Sserunjogi’s, Chris Lubanga and Raymond Ssembajjwe.
Mutoni warriors converted only two good penalty kicks. Just like Mutoni Warriors who must have regretted why they failed to upstage Ezee Money Rhinos two weeks ago after making an awesome second half comeback, Heathens also had a taste of misfortune. Captain Micheal Wokorach (Heathens centre) sustained a neck injury and was eventually taken off the pitch early in the first half — highlighting the necessity of having an ambulance and health professionals at any rugby field.
However after the game, Micheal Wokorach told Kawowo Sports after wishing his teammate a quick recovery, that he was confident of a return next weekend.
