Following his participation in the Inter-forces games at Namboole on Tuesday that saw him win the 800m and 1500m races for Uganda Wildlife Authority, Ronald Musagala is to resort to more drills to prepare him for the upcoming Commonwealth Games scheduled to take place in Scotland, United Kingdom next year.

“I take this as a trial because I know that next year, I have a big event of 800 metres,” he told Kawowo Sports. “I have to work hard for next year” he added.

Ronald Musagala who expects to represent Uganda next year was eliminated at the Semi-final stage in the recently concluded IAAF World Championships making it fifth, with a time record of 1:45:87 seconds.

Musagala’s Uganda Wildlife Authority finished third in the Inter-forces Athletics Track and Field competitions Overall on Tuesday, as Police emerged winners with 233 points followed by Prisons. UPDF finished fourth.

World and Olympic Marathon Champion Stephen Kiprotich did not take part in the competitions, but however, met a group of children with whom he took a few photographs in a charity tree planting exercise.
