A fantastic golfing season couldn’t come to an end without the lights going off at the 19th hole at Entebbe club,but to sum up a glorious day fireworks lit up the dark skies at the Grand Orange/Castle Lite Mug of Mugs and Dan Nkata memorial on Saturday in Entebbe.
Orange’s Marvin Kagoro, was the overall winner with 68 nett he also was this year’s Nkata memorial winner. The fireworks had an effect on the players game with John Basabose walking away with group A with 76 nett on count back.
Elly Mukasa was winner group B with 72 nett group C was taken by American Dusty Hill with 71 nett on count back.
Willy Deus Kitata, ended his 2013 in style winning the gross crown with 73. The ladies crown went to Diana Nabukenya, with a score of 66 nett.
Entebbe Club has had a busy schedule this year hosting the Tusker Lager Uganda Open, the Uganda’s Ladies Stroke Play Championship together the Entebbe Ladies Open.
The guest winners on the glorious night included Patrick Kagurusi, from Mbarara with 68 nett while Rita Mukasine from Lugazi, was the lady winner with 65 nett.
The overall Entebbe club winners where Ivan Mwebaze, who ended the year with 647 points while Irene Nakalembe, ended with 602.5 points.
