Top squash player Michael Kawooya, has received an early wake-up call to take part in the Fitlink Open in Brussels, Belgium from January 2-5.

It’s will be the first event for the Squash Player of the Year 2012 and his eighth international tournament that he will be participating in.

“I am looking forward to starting my squash season early,” Kawooya said. “This will be my seventh tournament for me and I will be leaving early to practise ahead of the tournament.”

This year has been a hectic season for the Kampala based squash player were he has participated in seven tournaments this year.

They include the Rwanda International Open Squash, White Nights Open in Saint Petersburg, Russia, AutoQuip Grand Prix, in Johannesburg, South Africa, Prince Grand Prix Squash tournament in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Others include Nakuru Open International Squash tournament in Kenya, Park Lands Open in Westlands Village in Nairobi, Kenya, Uhuru Open International Squash tournament in Tanzania at Gymkhana sports club Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
