2013 Tusker Malt Uganda Open Golf championship winner Peter Ssendaula, is set to make his debut on the Asian Tour Qualifying School tournament from February 5-8 at Hua Hin, Thailand.
“I have set my eyes on returning to the professional circuit after a good rethink,” Ssendaula said. “I am looking forward to it and I will have to qualify to make up it up the grade however I will do it in Far East Asia.”
Ssendaula’s trip is being sponsored by his sister club Entebbe club and while he looks for other sponsors for his tour. The soft spoken golfer turned professional in 2010 and quit in 2012 due to lack of sponsors, but after claiming his second major honour last year he has decided to give it another go.
“I believe am ready and prepared for it and I believe if I do well I will be able to land a good sponsor,” a confident Ssendaula said. “Last year was a challenging year for me, but am happy how it ended and after all the hussles that I went through I think my mindset is settled and I can now fully concentrate on the game this year.”
Ssendaula, will leave a week before the tournament to acclimatise and also do a round of practise ahead of the qualifer.
