Though VVC are enjoying a run filled with success, the Ndejje Open will provide a real from defending champions and hosts Ndejje Elites together with Nkumba another powerhouse

GAYAZA. Vision Volleyball Camp’s (VVC) long hours of hard work continued to payoff after they claimed the second edition of the Joan Cox Memorial Tournament on Sunday. VVC defeated UCU Lady Doves 3-0 (25-12, 25-16 and 25-9) in a one sided finals, it was their second title in two outings after lifting the Makerere Open title.

“I am very happy for the team’s good show in winning the tourney without losing any set,” said VVC coach Hannington Nsubuga  “We tried to implement most of the things we train like the combination attacks and they made the game easy for us. “We anticipate even harder competition next weekend in Ndejje and we are ready to give it our best,” he added.

With Ndejje Open just a week away, the side hopes to build from their success in the last fortnight. “VVC came out as victors in the Joan Cox and Makerere tournaments not because we are the best, but because we are having the best preparations at training when it comes to volleyball,” said the side’s power player Vivian Adeke.

“For anyone to beat us, you must train twice as hard. Gone are the days of using names to win championships,” Adeke added. Though VVC are enjoying a run filled with success, the Ndejje Open will provide stiff competition from defending champions and hosts Ndejje Elites together with Nkumba another powerhouse
