Espoir will play all their group matches on Sunday after having a number of their players busy with work on Saturday

LUGOGO. Being defending champions of the Ndejje Open women’s title makes Ndejje Elites outright favorites to retain the title. But the two time league winners have Nkumba University and Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) to deal with.

While Ndejje were pooled in group A alongside Espoir, KAVC and Nemostars, VVC and Nkumba have a date in Pool B that also has UCU Lady Doves, Sport-S and Mulago.

Ndejje who welcome back Christine Alupo, Maureen Mwamula and Saidat Nnungi from the national are expected to be a better side that faltered during the Makerere Open at the hands of VVC.

Nkumba who will also have Astreede Agaaba, Eunice Amuron Flavia Namdawula and Faridah Namajja not to mention head coach Tonny Lakony will be taking part in their first tournament of the year.

VVC are likely to retain the team that has won them the last two titles, despite having Josephine Nammanda, Irene Adeke and Milly Laker also back from the national team.
