The last time Nemostars and Sky were pooled together it was at the 2013 Jinja Open championship, then the former came out on top 2-0, they later met in the final and still Nemostars won the title with a 3-1 scoreline. Last year alone the two sides met eight times, Nemostars winning eight and losing the other. This year they have met once and Sky have come out on top 3-2 at the Makerere Open semi final stage.

They have once again been pooled together ahead of the Ndejje Open this weekend; the duo is in pool A alongside KCCA, VVC and Mulago. They are expected to find tough opposition in KCCA, though VVC who are making their debut appearance are likely to be stubborn.

“Always matches between Nemostars and Sky are breathe taking” said Ndejje coach Johnson Kawenyera. “And the two sides’ meeting this early can only give the tournament an opening it deserves,” he added

The two won’t play the opening match though after Sky was drawn to play Mulago first while Nemostars will play KCCA. Last year’s finalist Nkumba were pulled in pool B with UCU Doves, OKVC and Mattrixx, while pool C has Sport-S, hosts Ndejje, KAVC, and Sport-S Tigers.
