Trust High School finally landed silverware when they defended the All Girls Volleyball Championship on Sunday at St Joseph’s Nsambya. Trust had lost to Kinaawa High School a fortnight ago in the final of the Joan Cox Memorial tournament.

A second date between the two sides this year came as early as the semi final stage and trust prevailed in emphatic styled 3-0. The stage was set for Trust and Kakungulu High, the latter had defeated host St Joseph SS 2-0 in the other semifinal.

“Am going for revenge and nothing else,” Trust’s coach Protus Soita had said after the semifinal victory. He was going for revenge after had defeated them 2-1(12-25, 25-9, 25-23) in their preliminary fixture.

And Soita’s angels made sure he walks the talk as Trust defeated Kakungulu 3-1 (25-20, 25-13, 22-25, 25-17) in a one sided final. “ It has been a very tight tournament for us, but because of endurance and the self esteem we have been able to pull through,” Trust captain Tracy Kulume said. It was Trust’s fourth title in fourth title in five years
