Nemostars volleyball Club will have Esperance to deal with at their opening fixture of the CAVB Club Championship on Thursday. Nemostars’ captain George Aporu is not dwelling so much into their opponents.

“We are here to compete, and we will approach every game as it comes,” Aporu said. “We are going to give it our best and see what happens there after,” he added Nemostars were drawn with the six time winner together with GSU (Kenya), Mughrer Cement (Ethiopia), Port (Cameroon), and Ahly Beni Ghazi (Libya).

Aporu’s teammate had earlier said how he believes that they will be able to build on their experience from last year to do better. “We are definitely not the same side that went to Tripoli as novices, we are well aware of what it is like at this level of competition,” Mubangizi said.

“Lessons were learnt last term and we will strive to use them to do better,” he added. At last year’s competition Nemostars finished 11th out of 17 clubs and remain the only men’s club from Uganda to be ranked by the Confederation of Africa Volleyball.
