Kenya’s top motocross riders Ivan Guya and 3 time champion Shivam Vinayak will not take part in Easter Sunday’s Africa Central Africa Motocross Championships at Busiika.

According to Kenyan reports, 5 time motocross champion Ivan Guya is still nursing a finger injury, he sustained in the opening round of the Kenya National Series at Jamhuri.

National MX1 and motorcycle cross country champion Shivam Vinayak on the other hand has taken a break from motocross to concentrate on Enduro and rally raid championships.

Despite the absence of the duo, Tutu Maina another Kenyan national champion is set and will lead team Kenya into the Easter event.

25 Kenyan riders including their reigning national MX65 champion Ethan Nyachae, Tai Wahome, Kigen Kiplagat, Dylan Mutahi, Chris Chege, Dekker Kihara and Nandi Kiplagat, Samir Anwar, Ngugi Wameru, Walter Kuria and Lady rider Maxine Wahome are expected to compete, most utilising the tour as preparation for the FIM Africa Continental Motocross Championships to be held in Zambia in August.

Meanwhile, Busiika race track has been upgraded with more sandy sections in a bid to improve riders skills and technique ahead of the same championships in Zambia.

Uganda will field 50 riders this weekend led by Maxim Van Pee who is already in the country from Holland, along with 10 time national champion Arthur Blick Junior and 2009 national MX2 champion Unisan Bakunda who is returning to fill in for Asaf Natan who will not take part.
