Nkumba’s hopes of bettering their 11th position at the Africa Women Volleyball Championship in Carthage Tunisia hit a snag when they were beaten by Rwanda outfit APR 3-0 on Wednesday.
Nkumba who needed to win against APR to play for positions 13-16 lost 25-21, 25-19, 25-21 in a game they kept the point difference in reach until the twenties when APR broke away.
Now Nkumba and the other three losers outside the quarters will fight for positions 13-16, their Uganda counterparts Ndejje Elites play Bejaji of Algeria. Nkumba have registered one win so far at the games, a 3-1 against Water Sports of Ethiopia.
