KCC FC has clinched the 2013/14 FUFA Super League title. This follows their emphatic 3–1 home victory over 16 time record winners, SC Villa at the Lugogo Stadium in Kampala.
Goals by Stephen Bengo, Ronnie Kisseka and William Wadri were all the defending champions needed to wrap up a back to back title triumph.
SC Villa’s consolation came from Ronnie Kisseka who scored an own goal towards the end of the game.
KCC FC lead the league table with 60 points from 30 games – one point ahead of second placed Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) who beat Kawempe based Bright Stars 1-0.
Defender, Savio Kabugo scored for SCVU 9 minutes from full time at Namboole Stadium.
In some of the other results played, Entebbe F.C drew 2 all with Express while Jinja Based side, Bul held URA to a one all draw.
Geofrey Kizimula, Nicolas Kasiiti and Gerald Lubowa scored for Masaka Local Council over Vipers in Buikwe.
At the Kavumba recreation stadium, Benson Ociti netted a hattrick over Kira Young to complete the season on a high gear.
Already relegated CRO lost once again in the league. Francis Olaki netted the only goal through a penalty to condemn the Mbale based side to their 21st loss of the season.
The league officially ends on Friday, 9th May 2014 as Police and Masaka Local Council complete the abandoned game. The match will be played for only 24 minutes with Masaka L.C leading 1-0.
The first leg was abandoned after crowd’s violence at the recreational stadium in Masaka at the start of April 2014.
The already relegated sides are Masaka L.C, CRO and Proline.
