Mauritania Vs Uganda (Uganda leads 2 – 0 from first leg)

Time: 4 pm in Mauritania (7 pm in Uganda)

Ahead of Sunday 3rd August 2014 Uganda’s AFCON 2015 return leg qualifier with Mauritania, the cranes plan to train at Njeru Technical center to acclimatize to the artificial turf conditions of the Olympic Stadium of the West African nation.

“We shall shift base to Njeru so that the players get used to the artificial turf, which is the same we shall play on in Mauritania”, Uganda’s head coach, Micho told Kawowo Sports on Thursday.

The Cranes have entered day two in preparation for the return leg with a two hour morning training session.

The sessions will be non residential until Saturday when the team shifts base to Njeru Technical center.

Mauritania yesterday communicated to FUFA the date of the return leg clash as Sunday, 3rd August 2014 which will be played at the Stadia Olympique.

FUFA is yet to release the travel plans for the National team-Cranes but they are working round the clock on the trip so that they arrive in time.

Apart from Ivan Ntege (off for professional trials at Albanian Tirana f.c) and Goal keeper, Ismail Watenga (down with malaria), the camp was joined by Emma Okwi in the 2 hour morning session whose basis was on speed, shooting and involvement of full backs.

KCC midfielder, Gadaffi Kiwanuka has been sidelined from the team at the moment. Non residential training resumes Friday morning at Namboole Stadium.
