At just 15 years and 5 months old, Uganda Under 17 youngest member, Ezra Bidda is eager to impress once granted the playing opportunity at Friday’s CAF U-17 youth qualifier between Uganda and Rwanda.

Bidda, an attacking midfielder cum forward is a P.7 pupil at Teremuga primary school in Koboko was named among the 18 players that left Kampala for Rwanda.

Having missed the opening three games for the national U-17 team (two against Seychelles in first round and the first leg of the Rwandan clash in Kampala), Bidda hopes his time has come.

“I want to contribute to our team’s winning”, he says.

Bidda missed the first legs against Seychelles), because he had not yet undergone the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test, Bidda was set

“I have always wanted to represent my nation by playing soccer and I will be very excited even if I play for  5 minutes”, Bidda told Kawowo Sports.

Bidda wishes to finish school but also dreams of playing professional soccer and the senior national side, The Uganda Cranes.

“I have three targets at the moment; to complete school, play professional soccer and also play for the Uganda Cranes”, he says with a smile.

At the moment, Bidda is playing 5th division football with Rising stars f.c and he scored 2 goals of the 3 games he featured in in the 2013/14 season.

With the Uganda Cubs cap, Bidda anticipates a great future ahead of him.
