Rwanda Wasps Vs Uganda Cubs

At Umuganda Stadium, Kabavu

3 p.m Rwandan Time (4pm in Uganda)

Gisenyi is a destination every tourist on a voyage in Rwanda dreams about. Besides the undulating terrain, the border town is home to Lake Kivu and eye catching flora.

The City is set to host Uganda Cubs’ CAF championship U-17 return leg qualifier against Rwanda on Friday.

The Ugandan team has today arrived safely in the city with high expectations of a positive result and progressing to the next stage well aware that a 4 goal cushion is in the bag.

“We came here to play football. Anything (any result) is possible but we are here to finish the job we started in Kampala”, Head Coach, Matia Lule told Kawowo Sports shortly after arrival in Gisenyi.

The team, which will later have a feel of the artificial turf stadium in Umuganda (Kabavu Stadium) is being accommodated at the 4 star Peace land hotel.

Lule prefers to keep the starting line up cards close to his chest but a sketchy prediction from the training sessions watched indicate he may alter the side that started in Kampala with one or two additions.
