Two Ugandan Rugby players, Benon Kizza and Phillip Pariyo who disappeared in Glasgow after the common wealth games in Scotland planned for the escape mission, Kawowo Sports reliably reports.

‘They would joke around how to make survival means in Scotland’, a friend to Kizza testifies.

The Uganda commonwealth team jetted at Entebbe Airport yesterday without fullback Benon Kiiza and Phillip Pariyo, both rugby players with the national team.

It is reported the duo seek to work (odd jobs or semi pro rugby stints ) in Scotland.

Relatedly, Leon Mutangana, 35, the coach of the Rwanda Athletics team also disappeared without a trace from Team Rwanda camp in Glasgow, Scotland.

Team Uganda won five medals, four of them bronze. Three of the medals came from athletics and the other two boxing.  This is by far Uganda’s biggest collection of medals since 1974 when the country picked nine.

At the previous Games in New Delhi, India, Uganda got two gold medals all won by Moses Kipsiro.
