All odds are on VVC to lift the title come Sunday evening, as they have played in eight finals on the local scene winning six of those.
“Our run has been good, but we don’t want to get carried away,” Nsubuga said. “There are so many good teams going to Fort Portal, so we will just give our best like we have done in the past tournaments,” he added.
Those so many teams include Nkumba University the defending championship of the NCC and the first team to defeat VVC this year. The two sides have meant in three finals (Ndejje, KIU Open and Dr Aporu-Okol Memorial International) this year, Nkumba winning one and VVC the others.
Of course Ndejje Elites, KCCA, Espoir, KAVC and UCU Lady Doves are other women teams that can’t be written off.
