Not their best of performances but that mattered less as Nemostars defeated KAVC 3-2 to win the National Club Championships in Fort Portal on Sunday.

Nemostars rallied to a two set lead 25-10, 25-17 forcing KAVC into unforced errors on reception and block.

KAVC were never going to go down without a fight, as they helped them selves to two sets. (25-17, 25-23).

The tie breaker just opened up the home run to the title. Nemostars raced to a 8-5 lead before sides could be changed.

And later held their nerves to win 15-11. “We have struggled in the past and no one gave us a chance really,” said Nemostars’ Smith Okumu.

“It’s only we who really believed in ourselves and now every one should consider twice before writing us off,” added Okumu.

Prior to the finals, Nemostars had recovered from two sets down to beat Sport-S 3-2. On the other hand KAVC had seen off Nkumba Navy 3-1.
