Uganda Cranes will walk onto the pitch for the second half with lots of confidence after the home side claimed a 2-0 lead against Guinea in their second Group E match at Namboole Stadium.
Two goals from Geoffrey Massa in the 20th and 40th minute seem to have settled the result for coach Micho Sredojevic’s outfit that overall, looked better than Micheal Dussuyer’s men.
There was little for the visitors to script as fans ably took the frenzy of night football for the first time in the Cranes’ Afcon campaign.
For now, the Cranes will hope to add to that tally in the next 45 minutes but must keep a keen eye on Guinea’s danger men Sylla Idrissa and Soumah Seydouba who have already given Cranes right-back Denis Guma and captain Andy Mwesigwa a tough time.
Also, the pitch is a little soggy for both teams as they seek to brighten their road to Morocco next year.
Meanwhile, the half-time will mean so much to Ghana and Togo who are also tussling it out in Lome with the visitors leading 2-1.
