Uganda and Kenya have had several battles on the field of play and that is how it will be in tomorrow’s final at the Rak Tie Break tennis championship final at the Jamal Ramji Center Court at the Lugogo tennis center.

The tournament’s top seed Duncan Mugabe will be playing Kenya’s Ismael Changawa in what is expected to be an epic final at the $4,500 dollar tournament.

Mugabe beat Rwanda’s Jean Claude Gasigwa in the semi-finals with a score of 7-4, 7-4 while Kenya’s Changawa beat David Oringa 7-4, 7-3 to have a repeat final of the Kenya Open that was held in June.

“I ready to avenge my defeat to Changawa and I want to win this tournament on my home ground,” Mugabe said. “He is a good tennis player and am ready to battle with him come tomorrow.”

In the ladies final Shufa Changawa from Kenya beat Agnes Abigaba 7-2, 7-4, while Asfa Nayingi beat Saidati Kemigisha 7-3, 7-5 in also a Kenya, Uganda affair.

The winners in the men and women’s final will walk away with a trophy and $1,000 while the finalist will get $500.
