Uganda’s Kyadondo Rugby Club won the men’s under 19 Safaricom Sevens tournament in Nairobi thanks to their 07-14 main cup finals’ triumph against Impala on Saturday.

The team maneuvered through the whole competition unbeaten, scoring 126 points, conceding only 24 in two group stage matches and the main cup final.

The formidable Ugandan side defeated Coast and Nairobi, 34-00 and 17-7 respectively before humbling Western 34-10 to grab top spot of their group, making the main cup semi finals.

Kyadondo RC ran in 27 points to disappoint Nyanza without conceding any try or penalty to qualify for the main cup finals against Impala. Kyadondo’s Eric Nyeko was voted Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
