Rwenzori Group Results:

The Saints 5 – 0 Soroti Garage (Namboole)

Namasagali 2 – 1 Paidha Black Angels (Namasagali)

After the last match whistle for The Saints F.C 5 – 0 victory over Soroti Garage at Namboole Stadium, many the home club’s faithfuls nearly ran out of superlatives for the team’s brave performance.

Implausible, phenomenal, superb, fantastic, terrific and the like were a chorus from many of the Macron sponsored lads, whose major focus is witnessing their club to the Uganda Premier League come next season.

This was The Saints F.C’s second victory in the 2014/15 season, a successive clean sheet victory after the 0 – 3 triumph at Namasagali F. C in Kamuli a fort night ago.

After a shaky start, the hosts got their footing right when usual suspect, Alex ‘Benzima’ Kitata opened the goal galore, his second of the campaign.

Club new recruits, Fred Kyambadde and Kamada Ssebagala registered their names in the refeere’s book for the same right reason – scoring.

A beautiful chip marked the 4th strike for the home team from second half substitute, Vianney Ssekajugo and a late Moses Okello penalty after the visitor’s goal keeper, Alex Adepo had felled Fred Kyambadde in the forbidden area, was the icing on the cake.

Team head tactician, Mark Twinamatisko hailed his team’s well laid strategy but quickly downplayed the fans’ praise urging his troops to avoid complacency ahead of the grueling season.

“We played well as planned, however we have must stay focused and take on one game at a time,” Twinamatsiko revealed to the club’s official web portal, www.thesaintsfc.co.ug.

His counterpart at Soroti Garage, Hassan Ojambo castigated their numerous goal bound opportunities his strikers put to waste.

Elsewhere in the Rwenzori group, Namasagali F.C earned their maiden victory of the season with a 2 – 1 home triumph at Namasagali college play ground in Kamuli.
