Lightweight hot-shot Sharif “The Lion” Bogere, returns to the ring that has brought several triumphs in his professional career and this time around he comes up against a tough cookie in Mexican Fernando “Cuervito” Garcia tomorrow(Thursday) at the Memorial Hall, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA.
Bogere returns to the ring four months since his last fight with Miguel Zamudio, in which he won after his opponent retired after the third round in a eight rounder.
This will be the third fight in the year for the Las Vegas based professional and this could pave way for him to challenge for a world title early next year.
“I just want to win my fight and look up for my next challenge,” Bogere stated. “If I see the openings in the fight I will take him out.” The Ugandan fighter has been training in Las Vegas for the past two months with his trainer Kenny Adams.
A win for the stylish boxer will elevate him in the world boxing rankings having fallen down the weight division due to inactivity last year due to a leg injury.
Bogere goes into the fight with a record of 25 wins 1 loss and 17 coming within the distance his opponent Garcia is 30 wins 6 loses 2 draws and 18 within the distance.
