Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) defied odds as they defeated Ndejje Elites 3-2 to win the NSSF Volleyball League on the first time of their asking.
VVC overcame two-time winners Ndejje 3-1 in the best of five series at the MTN Arena in Lugogo on Friday night.
Ndejje won game one 3-1 before VVC leveled the series in straight sets and took the lead in game three with the same margin.
Game four looked like it wouldn’t be easy but Ndejje were never going to go down without a fight as they rallied to a 25-22 lead in the first set.
VVC composed themselves in the second and third led by setter Viola Akisa, Opposite Peace Busingye and Josephine Nammanda VVC won them with scores of 25-18, 25-17 respectively.
Complacency took its toll in the VVC camp and Ndejje took advantage winning the fourth 25-23.
And a tie breaker would either prolong or end the series, VVC made sure the latter prevailed as the won the decisive set 15-10.
It was VVC’s ninth title in 11 finals this year for a team that is barely 12 months old.
