Mutoni Warriors shocked Toyota Buffaloes 03-08 to earn their first win of the season at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds on Saturday.

After succumbing to a 64-03 loss to Heathens and a 25-10 loss to Ezee Money Rhinos, Mutoni Warriors came desperate to scramble for victory and indeed their struggle paid off.

Buffaloes were often on the attack as the side launched an onslaught for their second win, having made a comeback on Impis at Makerere the previous weekend, but their defense deserved no much praise due to the lapses that cost them.

Mutoni Warriors opened the scoring with a try in the first half by Opentho and the hosts were further frustrated when Ben Kinobe kicked through the uprights for more 3 points.

The visitors led with a 00-08 score until Allan Okello salvaged Buffaloes only three points for the first half.

Neither of the teams scored any more in the second half though Buffaloes edged for a try in the last few minutes but failed eventually falling for second premiership loss.

Scrum half Musisi Henry who scored Warrior’s only try against Ezee Money Rhinos was crowned man of the match after impressing for his second match in a row.
