When you know you are good for something you will cry out for it and sure boxing hot shot lightweight Sharif “Lion” Bogere, has thrown the first punch in the direction of his promoters Golden Boy Promotions.

“Right now I am ready for anything. “It’s up to Golden Boy Promotions. I’m waiting to hear from them. I’m ready,” the Las Vegas fighter told boxing writer Emile Ferlisi. “Everything comes from God and the next thing you know I might be a world champion.”

Bogere, is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions that is owned by boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya and recently knocked out Mexican Fernando Garcia as he registered his third consecutive win in 2014 as he seeks to fight for a world title next year.

American Omar Figueroa Junior is the WBC lightweight champion and is under the same promotion that also promotes the Ugandan. Junior intends to move up the division thus making that belt vacant.

He will be seeking to become the sixth Ugandan professional to become a world champion and they are John “The Beast” Mugabi, Ayub Kalule, Cornelius Boza Edwards, Kassim “The Dream” Ouma and Jackson “Action” Asiku.
