Uganda’s former national captain Ibrahim Sekagya, has rubbed shoulders with some of the greatest footballers on the globe and next season he will not be captained by the legendary Thierry Henry, who is likely to leave his side after they lost in the finals of the Eastern Conference to New England Revolution on Saturday.
All Henry would say afterwards in his postgame interview was an unprompted, “Well done, New England,” before walking away from the media, but his teammates and head coach were not short on words when it came to discussing the era in Red Bulls history that may just have come to a close.
Thierry Henry, who is an Arsenal legend has played in the Major League for four season’s and was the highest earner with a salary of $4.35 million over the four years at the New York Red Bulls playing along side Australian international Tim Cahill, who once featured for Barclays Premier League side Everton together with another Arsenal legend’s son that is Ian Wright’s adopted son Bradley Wright Phillips, who was the regular season top-scorer.

Thierry Henry is likely not to play with Ugandan soccer legend Ibrahim Sekagya next season.
Many speculate that he will retire or, at a minimum, leave the Red Bulls this off-season given that his four-year deal will expire.
New York’s captain has maintained throughout the season that he will not make a decision one way or the other until the winter, but Petke revealed Saturday that he has known what Henry will do since early in the year.
