Sadili tennis scholar John Lutaaya’s tennis scholarship to go play tennis at the South Carolina Tennis Academy, in South Carolina, USA are in limbo due to raising funds to airlifting him.

“We are trying to raise the remainder of the funds for him to travel to the United States this is an opportunity of a life time for this junior tennis player that we don’t want him to miss,” Henry Muyanja, one of the leading tennis players said on phone. “It would be bad if he failed to travel for this tennis scholarship it will open doors for him and also make him a better player.”

Lutaaya, is one of Uganda’s young tennis prospects pursuing a scholarship in the United States to better his game the other Ugandan player pursuing such a program is Henry Ayesiga, who is in California , USA.

The Wachesaw Plantation Club in South Carolina has invited him to the academy.

He has managed to get some sponsorship from a few individuals and members around and he has so far raised $600. He has a budget of $ 2,000(sh2.4m)which $1,700 will go to his air ticket and $ 300 for up keep. Therefore, he is short by $1,400.
