Tanzania Vodacom Premier League champions Azam FC are set to camp in Uganda for ten days ahead of their next league fixture.

The Bakhresa family sponsored club is expected to arrive in the country on Thursday 11th and Kawowo Sports has learnt that they will play three friendlies before flying back to Tanzania.

The three friendlies include games against SC Villa, KCC FC and Vipers according to reliable sources.

“Chief Executive Officer Azam FC, Kawemba Saad said that the visit is special for the team to prepare for the Premier League and the squad will return to Dar es Salaam on December 22” read a statement on the club’s official website.

The Tanzania league took a break on November 9 after seven rounds and will return on December 26. Azam is home to former KCC FC coach George ‘Best’ Nsimbe where he is employed as assistant to Cameroonian John Omog.

Azam currently lies second on the Tanzania topflight league log with 13 points just behind leaders Mtibwa Sugars with seven games played.
