Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia want to sign KCC FC striker Brian Umony Kawowo Sports has learnt.

The KPL giants are looking at filling the void left by Ugandan international Daniel ‘Mzee’ Sserunkuma and in Umony, they see a perfect replacement.

“He is a great striker who we have followed for some time,” Gor Mahia official who preferred anonymity told Kawowo Sports when contacted of the reports.

“We shall do everything possible to have him in our squad for next season,” he added.

When asked on the issue, KCC FC Coach Abdallah Mubiru denied but admitted he has heard of it.

“It’s something am hearing but I can’t confirm its authenticity.”

In case Umony leaves, he will be the second player to leave KCC FC in less than a month after attacking midfielder Brian Majwega also left for Azam.

Umony has been in good form since rejoining KCC FC from Azam scoring 12 goals in all competitions. Five in the Kagame Cup and 7 so far in the Uganda Premier League.
