Uganda Netball Cranes captain, Peace Proscovia has acclimatized to playing conditions at her new club, Loughborough Lightening club in a record time.

 A club statement indicates Peace together with two other players (Phumza Maweni and Maryka Holtazhausen) have been wholesomely welcomed at their new love.

The club Head Coach, Karen Atkinson is particularly impressed with Maryka’s intelligence with quick hands and shot accuracy, adding;

Peace and Markya add the height advantage to the team in offense and defence line. Maryka is a blessed play maker with quick hands and accuracy of shot. They have integrated well with the rest.

South African players; defender, Phumza Maweni and South African captain, Maryka Holtzhausen were joined by Uganda’s skipper, Peace Proscovia as the 3 African players on the team whose new season gets underway with an away trip to Yorkshire at the dawn of January 2015.

Loughborough Lightening will host their maiden home game of the season on February 2014 against Hertfordshire in a game that has already sold out.

Peace, a former Mvara, National Insurance Corporation (NIC) and Uganda Christian University (UCU) player is multi- talented is played an integral role in helping Uganda Basektball team to qualify for the Afro Basketball champions slated later this year.

The sharp shooter also guided Uganda to the world cup competition later in August 2015 to be hosted in New Zealand.

She becomes the first Ugandan netballer to play professional netball in England.
