2015 National Boxing Championships:

12th – 17th January 2015

At Lugogo Indoor Stadium

As expected, the stiff competition among several of the boxers at the ongoing 2015 National Intermediate Boxing Champions, currently taking place at Lugogo, has provided a leveled ground to all boxers.

Over 30 different boxing clubs are competing in the various weight categories whose winners will take part in the February 2015 National Open Championships.

In some of the highlights of the preliminary fixtures, Katwe Club’s Mike Kiganda knocked out Emmanuel Kasaija of Nakivubo in the 56 weight category.

In the light weight event, the match referee was forced to stop the fight in a bid save Ben Kiwanuka from further punishment as COBAP’s Rogers Musoke endlessly sent in the fight.

With the majority of preliminary games nearing completion, the quarter final menus have now taken shape with some of the last 8 games held on Tuesday.
