Phillip Wokorach, the full back of Uganda Rugby Premiership side Heathens traveled to the United Kingdom on Monday to better his skills in a four month stint with Esher Rugby Club.
Phillip who left Uganda on invitation, will build core skill, his game understanding and physical preparation with the English rugby union club based in Surrey – Hersham , England.
Wokorach will later take part in a community program with an element of how rugby can affect social change.
He was also offered a placement at Danes Hill Prep School from January to April 2015 to help in their PE department according to Jeroline Akubu, the Chairman Kyadondo Rugby Club.
Phillip visited Esher Rugby Club in 2006 as part of the Kyadando RFC TourAid tour and this will unfold as yet another opportunity to share with the same rugby community.
His flights and visa costs have been catered for by sponsors and the national Sevens player who impressed at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth games is expected to inspire all age groups along with the 1st VII leading up to the National Schools’ Sevens.
One of the Esher Rugby Club members will also host Phillip with their family for the duration of his stay in a bid to exchange a meaningful rugby experience to the children, staff and parents.

The club was formed in 1923 and when the league system was introduced Esher were placed in London 1 but were relegated in the first season and did not win promotion back to that league until 1993.
Esher were first promoted to the National Leagues system for the 1997-98 season, finishing fourth.
They led for most of the season the following year but finished second, but won promotion in 1999-2000.
The club set a new points record when winning National League Two in 2006-07 and were thus promoted. They were
promoted into the second tier, the RFU Championship after winning National League 1 in 2009-10.
During this season they broke the world record when they beat Manchester 148-0.
They played in the Championship for two seasons before being relegated back into National League 1 for the 2012-13 season.
