Shamim Bangi is confident she will be able to put up a better show at the Swedish Badminton Masters that started Wednesday with the qualification round.

Bangi who lost to 2-0 (21-14, 21-6) to Belgian Flore Vandenhoucke in the first round of the Estonian International will play Sashina Vignes Waren from France today afternoon. Bangi told Kawowo on Thursday:

Estonia was tight to for me, I had hardly acclimatized to the condition when I played my first match. The story is a little different in Sweden, much the conditions are the same, the body as adopted a little,

Vignes is seeded sixth at the tournament while 21-year old Bangi admits she’s not; she is also 43rd in the world compared to the Ugandan 115th

She (Vignes) is a ranked higher than me because she has played more matches than me, more exposed and older. I would love to believe that all she has got. Am not saying it’s going to be an easy fixture, obviously not but am going to give my best

Vignes has played 248 matches in international tournaments won 152 and lost 96 while Bangi has 81 won 46 and lost 35.

Though the Frenchwoman is yet to feature in any match this year, Bangi has played one so far and it ended in defeat.

Bangi is trying to accumulate points that will put her in a better position enabling her to qualify for the 2016 summer Olympics in Rio De Janeiro.
