Uganda Premier League debutants, Lweza F.C has sent a strong statement of intent after overcoming SC Villa 1-0 at Nakivubo Stadium on Liberation day.
Uganda Cranes midfielder, Mike Sserumaga scored the all important goal from a free kick, about 10 minutes after his introduction.
“The victory places us at a different level although I still urge my players to keep composed ahead of the second round”

The game presented the opportunity for the two sides to test their squads ahead of the league second round that has been confirmed for Friday, 13th February 2015.
