World Ultimate Beach Frisbee Championships:

8th – 14th March 2015 Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Joseph Kwesiga is set to captain team Uganda at the World Ultimate beach Frisbee championships slated to kick off this Sunday in Dubai.

Uganda Ultimate Frisbee Association president, Alex ‘Queenie’ Matovu, who is also part of the traveling contingent affirms to Kawowo Sports:

The consists of 15 players who are determined to die a little for the mother nation, Uganda

The opening ceremony for the week-long event kicks off on the international women’s day but Team Uganda will embark on their fixtures the following day, Monday.

Uganda is set to play 8 preliminary matches against Germany, Netherlands, Czech Republic, India, Canada, Phillipine, Britain and Sweden.

On the level of preparation, Matovu is confident, the adequate preparations for the players will see the team triumph in Dubai.

We have been training well at MUBS and sports beach and I expect the players to perform well

The Ultimate Frisbee sport has been one of the fast rising events on the domestic sporting front in the country since its inception 20 years ago.

Participation at the global stage is therefore a land mark that will witness the further prosperity of this little known sport.
