With a lot of uncertainties surrounding Warriors Basketball Club, departures are inevitable. Sitting in the departure lounge of the two-time champions is game legend, Henry Malinga.

The veteran center could be announced a KIU Titans player early next week as the university side embarks on a revolution to stamp their place in the National Basketball League.

Malinga has reportedly been talking to Power but latest reports suggested the veteran center is headed to KIU much as the Warriors management says he is not going anywhere.

KIU Titans have made a real motion towards strengthening the team to compete at high level with City Oilers, Power and Falcons. Their triumph in the inaugural tournament showed KIU are capable of competing not just by defending but are a scoring team.

Malinga will be KIU’s third addition as the university side already signed up forwards Geoffrey Soro and Norman Blick.

Malinga and Blick do not just add loads of experience to the university side that is yet to see glory in the National Basketball League but the pair add the competitive edge.

The Kansanga based institutional team has always made a good account during the normal season but have over the years failed to make an impact in the post season and the acquisition of Malinga, Blick and Soro to add to Edwin Katerega, Chris Omanye and the rest of the guys might take them a long way at making an impact in the playoffs.
