Uganda Cup 2014/15 Quarter finals:

Sports Club Victoria University Vs Sports Club Villa

Nelson Mandela Stadium, Namboole (4:00 P.M Kick off), Sunday, 19th April 2015

As Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) entertain Sports Club Villa in a Uganda quarter final duel at the Nelson Mandela stadium on Sunday, all eyes will be geared towards lanky forward, Fahad Tokko.

The gangly striker, recruited from regional side, Kireka United in the January 2015 window, has already exhibited top marksmanship instincts – scoring 5 goals in the Uganda cup and two league goals so far.

Comfortable on the ball with an awesome first touch, Tokko’s qualities come under close scrutiny on Saturday given the huge expectations from the game.

Tokko and company will line up against seasoned defenders in Fahad Kawooya, Isaac Muleme and Musa Docca.

The two sides have had a relatively smooth ride in the Cup thus far. SCVU eliminated FUFA Big league, Ngora Freda Carr (1-3) at the round of 64, defeated western regional outfit, Nyarusiza (0-5) in the last 32 teams and Jinja S.S (3-1) at the round of 16.

SC Villa got better of Azam F.C (4-3 in post match penalties after a goal-less draw) in the round of 64 stage played at Nakivubo stadium, skipped Busia United’s challenge at the last 32 after the team failed to travel to Kampala and convincingly beat Proline 4-0 at the round of 16 teams.

SCVU will pray midfield icon, Muzamiru Mutyaba displays the play marking antics he is known of as former Kamwokya midfielder, Nicolas Kagaba supplements.

Direct striker, Dan Nsubuga and club’s cup top scorer, Tokko have the mantle to look for the goals.

At the back, towering team captain, Martin Mpuuga will be useful to thwart (if any) the aerial threats as his excellent command at the back line will be key for the team.

SC Villa, 1-3 winners in the league during a mid week fixture against Lweza at Wankulukuku stadium will bank on the dead ball expertise of the tried and tested Steven Bengo.

Ronald Muganga, Hassan Wasswa, Erisa Ssekisambu and goal keeper, Nicholas Ssebwato are the other key figure for the Jogoos who are seeking for the 9th Uganda Cup title.

SCVU  head coach, Morley Byekwaso calls upon his charges to kill off the game early and they look for another title since their heroics two years ago.

In case the game remains locked in terms of scores by the full time whistle, then extra time will be played and possible penalties to determine who joins Lweza, BUL and the winner between Kyambogo Football club in the cup semi finals.

The draws for the semi finals will be held on Wednesday, 22nd April 2015.
